Roof Mounting
bare roof
The 3rd-generation Chevrolet Colorado (2023+) has a bare cab roof without factory rails β the same truck paradigm as the Tacoma and F-150. The cab roof is not the primary cargo platform. For cab-roof mounting: Thule Evo Clamp (710501) with Colorado-specific Fit Kit. Limited crossbar spread (approximately 28-30 inches) restricts roof cargo to compact accessories. The correct approach: bed rack systems. The Colorado's bed uses stake pockets for bolt-on rack installation. Available bed lengths are 5-foot-2 (Short Box, Crew Cab) and 6-foot-2 (Long Box, Extended Cab). Bed racks from Front Runner, Yakima OverHaul, and others offer Colorado-specific configurations. The ZR2 and Trail Boss trims add off-road equipment but use the same bed and cab construction β stake pocket positions are identical across all trims.
